Greetings! my friend Deanna is finishing up my new website at www.brightideaspublishing.com. i'm so excited to have my .com domain! last night i went home and had my first tattoo! my daughter wanted a tattoo kit for her birthday and i was her first victim...i mean, client! first she did the bottom of my feet with "rock n' roll." they look cute. then she found an awesome mother-daughter picture with 3 flowers so that went on my back. yes, i'll admit it hurt! yes, i'm a tattoo wimp. i whined for over 2 hours but my daughter was great about it. and it turned out awesome! she is very artistic. if you need a tattoo, let her know! she's going to be famous some day!

Attitude!

holy baloney, what's with my attitude! i am so frustrated with computers and websites. my book is not selling...my house is not clean...well, it's not too bad. i do have a chicken in the crock pot tonight so my children will be fed. i am taking a week of vacation from my day job and i am not doing anything except work on marketing my book and doing my private practice. hopefully getting new clients. last time i took a week off work, back in february, i wrote my coper's book. don't think i will be too motivated this week to write another book, but maybe get some books sold. my friend, deanna, is teaching me how to blog. this is a new land for me. difficult to write about my life. seems boring to me. yesterday i went to an open house for my friend, rhonda. she just bought her first home in the liberty addition in clarkston. it's a gorgeous home. just perfect for rhonda. i'm very envious of her completed, finished home as my house needs so much work. it was fun to see old friends at the open house. today is a day spent cleaning the house and trying to work on my new website. still have the old one up and going and will hopefully do some updates to it. who knows. tonight i will practice doing more blogging so perhaps you'll see more of me!

Hasting's Book Signing! Hey all, I survived my first book signing at Hastings. Thanks for my friends for coming to support me. I really appreciate it. Even my new "author friend," Deanna Jewel, came to support me. I also just purchased her e-book today and can't wait to read it. She is anxious for her book, Never Surrender, to come out on paperback. You can check out her website at www.deannajewel.homestead.com! I wish her so much luck! Marketing is so hard and takes so much time to do. But today, I sold 3 books at Hastings which was really cool. Two to people I already know and one to a total stranger who read about the book signing in the newspaper article! it was awesome. And gobs of thanks to my special friend, Susan Compton, for sitting there and keeping me company. You rock! Now i'm working on getting ready for my next display. Will be in Coeur d' Alene on the 30th of May at the Foster Parent Conference, setting up a table to try to sell my book. This conference is at the Best Western on Appleway. It should be fun.
